Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice Review

We bring out the big guns for this one. Critically derided but a massive box office hit, where does the Upodcast team stand on Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice which sorta a sequel to Man Of Steel but also a set up for the forthcoming DC Justice League Universe.

Joined by @Bollybrit and @9e3k we keep it low on spoilers (until minute 45) but high on profanity.

During the episode we talk about a deleted scene, if you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:

Pan Official Poster

Peter Pan’s isn’t one of those characters that is near and dear to our hearts although we did enjoy Hook when it came out (BANGERANG) but it seems to be a real gold mine for film makers to keep going back to.

Pan, the upcoming live-action family adventure set for release on 16 October 2015 directed by Joe Wright (Atonement) starring Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne and newcomer Levi Miller seems to be a pre-quel of sorts.

From the Synopsis:

Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, the action adventure follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny—to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.

Man Of Steel Banner Posters

We received these beautiful Banner posters for Man Of Steel and I just had to share them.

Not much to say much else as I’m going officially not going to watch any promo material anymore until the movie comes out to remain spoiler free.

But these were just too awesome not to share.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes “Man of Steel,” starring Henry Cavill (“Immortals,” TV’s “The Tudors”) in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, under the direction of Zack Snyder (“300,” “Watchmen”).

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth.  As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do.  But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.

The film also stars four-time Oscar® nominee Amy Adams (“The Master”) as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Oscar® nominee Laurence Fishburne (“What’s Love Got to Do with It”) as her editor-in-chief, Perry White.  Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Oscar® nominee Diane Lane (“Unfaithful”) and Academy Award® winner Kevin Costner (“Dances with Wolves”).

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Oscar® nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”), and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue (upcoming “The Seventh Son”).  Also from Superman’s native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s mother, played by Ayelet Zurer (“Angels and Demons”), and Superman’s father, Jor-El, portrayed by Academy Award® winner Russell Crowe (“Gladiator”).

MAN OF STEEL will fly into cinemas on June 14, 2013

Second Immortals Trailer

Here is a new trailer to Tarsem (Singh)’s Immortals. As always the visuals look amazing but that’s a guarantee if you have the former ad film maker involved. His previous effort The Fall is a movie I recommend whenever people ask me which Blu ray disks they should get. The visuals on it are just bonker but as with many directors that make the leap from advertising to feature length movie making, the story is sometimes the weak point.

We get to see more of Henry Cavill the soon to be Superman, our favorite petite Indian-actress-in Hollywood Freida Pinto (that dress dropping scene has already caused some controversy in India) , Micky Rourke in a crazy helmet and slow motion Kung Fu.

Not only does it have a strong 300/ Clash of the Titans vibe but it even has a bit of Kanye West’s Power video don’t you think?

The trailer and the Kanye West video are below to compare.

Immortals is out as the trailer claims on 11.11.11

Let us know if you’re looking forward to Immortals (we are!) in the comment section
