Ep 29 Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap (Or why Amitabh Bachchan is Awesome)

  • by
We kneel before the Emperor of Bollywood this week. In this “Bbuddah
Hoga Terra Baap” Podcast episode, we are joined by Burlesque and Movie Club
Host Bastard Keith and friend of Upodcast and regular guest Danny Bowes writer
for Tor and MoviesByBowes, we dissect the awesomeness that is Amitabh Bachchan
with the release of his latest masala reboot. Listen or download to the podcast
below!
Thod Action, Thoda Jackson!
Directed by South Indian director Puri Jagannath (known for Telegu
movie Pokiri, which was remade as Wanted starring Salman Khan) and co-starring
Sonu Sood, Sonal Chauhan, Charmy, Hema Malini, Prakash Raj.
Bbhudah can be best described as a contemporary take on “Angry Young Man” template Amitabh Bachchan
created together with legendary directors as Prakash Mehra (Zanjeer), Manmohan
Desai (Naseeb) and Ramesh Sippy (Sholay). What happens when that angry (now
old, but don’t you dare call him that) man comes back to kick up a storm in
today’s Mumbai underworld?
We are all huge fans of Amitabh so be prepared for a podcast
filed with hero worship and grown men squeeing in unison.

section below! A word of warning, in our excitement talking about Amitabh we sure do swear a lot in this eisode, pretty much from the start! consider yourself warned!

  1. Great discussion! I’m so happy that Charmy has gained more fans, and I highly recommend two of her Telugu films “Pournami” and “Anukokunda Oka Roju”, where she’s particularly funny and good.
