You can’t have ears on the side of your head(or any other place on your body for that matter) and not love the Roots. The Philadelphian Hip Hop collective is dropping their 9th full studio album.

They may not be delivering the Radio hits and I don’t think they were every interested in doing so. I’m just glad that there are still musicians that make hip hop.
I haven’t had any of their album on heavy rotation since Things Fall Apart but every album since has has tracks on it that made me seek out the entire album.
The full album is available for streaming on their Myspace page (click here!)Â and features collaborations from Beanie Sigel; Young Chris; Chrisette Michelle; L.A. rapper Blu; Phonte of Little Brother; Pharoahe Monch; Cody ChestnuTT; Jim James; and Patty Crash, whose song “Serve This Royalty” is covered on the album.
The Roots are the nurishment you need when you are starved for quality Hip Hop. and they play their own instruments….
