It truly has been a long wait for Darren Aronofsky to follow up his critically acclaimed Black Swan, but now that the trailer for Noah starring Russel Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Logan Lerman is out, we can clearly see where all the hard work has gone into.
Darren Arronofsky wrote the screenplay together with Ari Handel his collaborator for Black Swan and The Fountain.
the story is pretty clear although there are a lot of elements in the trailer that give the scope of the world they have created:
Here is the trailer and the teaser poster:
Noah, a man chosen by God for a great task before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world.
We know all the cool kids have been complaining high and low about big bad Hollywood remaking Paul Verhoeven classic Robocop but as usual Upodcast has a different point of view and is kinda excited!
Here is the new trailer and a new poster.
There are some key elements that are different from the original, we are especially missing the crucifixion scene and other Christ allegories.
But still it’s great to see Michael Keaton back on screen.

Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan were in London promoting their forthcoming rom-com Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and we had the chance to speak to them face to pretty face (you can decide who has the pretty face for once).
Both stars were on a marathon promo tour and were dead shattered at the point we got to meet them, but Bebo put her hair up and Imran was still being very chatty.
Here’s our Video Interview with Kareena and Imran:
Since unlike most of our interview this is on video, we thought we would write up our thought in the post.
So here goes: “5 Things we learnt while speaking to Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan”
Meeting Kareena Kapoor after a couple of years, her magic has only amplified, even if she consider herself to be “BLAAH, WHATEVER”
Imran told me this really interesting story about how the weirdest thing for him is to see when they have mirrored the image in some shots. Apparently one of the final scenes in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu was shot back in India whilst most of the movie was shot in Las Vegas, so they had to do everything in a mirror image and then edit it into the movie, it was one of his oddest filmic experiences.
Imran Khan was the first guy in all our interviews to step into the press room and come say hi to everyone and ask how were were doing and what we thought of the new promo of Naina.
Imran and Kareena genuinely get along, there is much more ease on screen and off now then there ever was during Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.
Check out Kareena’s face at 2.54 when I tell her Twitter is a scary place. PRICELESS!
Do Share and Like the video if you can, hopefully if the format is liked, we can do more of these.
BIG BIG BIG thanks to our awesome Twitter Friend @JessicaSisk for all the help on the video editing, we were lost without her! Give her a shout on twitter if you liked the video
Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases in the Uk on 22nd of November
The boys are back in town. And they’re not in a good mood. Although Martin hasn’t watched TV in about 3 weeks Asim and Ahmed have been tucking into Agents of Shield and that hasn’t gone down very well. Are hints of the A-Team and guest spots from Nick Fury and Agent Maria Hill enough to keep us tuned-in each week? Martin is in the midst of some kind quest to find the holy grail of gothic and horror cinema, courtesy of the British Film Institute. 8 movies in 8 days and a mere 17 to go in the next 3 weeks.
So surely there has to be something out there to keep us enthusiastic. We talk about the new trailer for Captain America: Winter Soldier and what we expect from the coming movie. Plenty of action (natch) but we could well be seeing the beginnings of one of the less understood and appreciated super heroes being shaped into someone truly 21st century. And for that we are happy!
Moving on to the week’s feature, RIPD, where to start? Quite possibly this movie won’t operate at a loss when it’s finished its journey around world cineplexes…but maybe not. And it wouldn’t be a surprise to know that either. Can Kevin Bacon act any differently in this than the mobile phone ads he’s in in the UK? Can Jeff Bridges produce an accent different to True Grit? Will Ryan Reynolds still be acting in big budget movies in 2 years time? Tune in for this and more!
